Jasper "Chubby" Ray, the owner's father, is the inspiration behind naming this special place. He was born and raised in Mississippi, a loving family man, decorated WWII & Korean War Veteran and friend to all; especially those who called him Chubby. He loved good southern cooking, especially our BBQ butts and ribs.

 

Chef Boo and Guy have been friends for over 40 years. They have collaborated over many days, nights, weekends, (and beers), mastering the art of smoking meats, debating which hardwoods smoke the best, and perfecting recipes for shrimp and crawfish boils, and other family favorite dishes. 

 

Until now, these dishes were only shared with family and friends at family parties, football games and other social gatherings.

 

Their shared love of BBQ and a good time with friends and family now includes YOU.
